Born from the heads of Semon "Bunkie" Knudsen and Larry Shinoda, the Boss 302 Mustang is the focus of my business and the dedication of this website. Examples of our Boss 302 restorations can be seen here. After reading and participating on the original and informative boss302.com website I wanted to provide a reference to all things Boss. The boss302.com forum is one of the most heavily read and visited Mustang forums on the web. I am not here to replace it. I am here to augment it and try to provide a real time resource for the hobby and business of restoring two of my favorite vehicles, the Boss 302 and Boss 429. This site will be focused on providing answers to those key questions when restoring your car. If you choose to restore your own car I hope that I can provide some useful information to do so. I also hope that if you are unable or unwilling to take on that project you will choose my company to restore your mustang. I hope to pack this site with all the information that I was looking for when I restored my first Boss. Obviously I believe that restoration should be handled by professionals but, I am also realistic enough to know that not everyone that has a classic car can afford to pay high restoration costs. This is why I have choosen to put the information that I know out there for anyone who has the patience and inclination to restore their own car. I realize the labor of love that goes into restoring these fantasic cars. I truly love my job.
This site will be dedicated to concourse restoration for the most part. In the short time that I have been in this business there is one thing that hits me every day: there is SO much to learn. I really practice the old saying that "you learn something new everyday". I have received information from so many people and I will try to give credit where credit is due. My hope is that by coming to this site every month, week, or day you will find something new. I want to update this site on a regular basis to provide the latest information out there for all of us that love Boss Mustangs. There are several sections to the site including the restoration guide, current projects, Boss history, and MCA rules that are used by judges to award trophies based on point levels. The guide will consist of articles about different aspects of restoring a Mustang. I will try to do pictures along with written commentary of different parts or areas that we do. the current projects is fairly self explanitory in that it will be cars that we are currently restoring. Some of these will be customer cars. Others will be Mustangs for sale at Santa Barbara Muscle Cars when they completed. I am doing this site for free because that is how I received most of my information. My only wish is that anyone that visits this site is for them to just check out a few of the sponsors. It helps with costs of maintaining and operating this site. The more time I have to work on this site the more information that will be available. Thank you for visiting and I hope you find the information useful and entertaining. |
